The HSD Döpfer University of Applied Sciences (HSD) is a state-recognized, system-accredited university with a focus on health and social services. Its headquarters are in Potsdam (with additional locations in Hamburg, Cologne, and Regensburg). Its degree programs are characterized by a strong practical focus, innovative and flexible learning methods, and strong networking with industry partners. This structure prepares students for a wide variety of activities and career fields in the health and social services sector. As a pioneer in the academicization and professionalization of non-medical professions, the HSD has established structures for professional study preparation and extensive experience in the recognition of foreign professional qualifications under professional licensing law. The university is part of the Döpfer Group, which operates vocational schools, specialist academies, and therapy practices for physical and occupational therapy as well as speech therapy at 11 locations in Germany.

Hertie School, located in the heart of Berlin and Europe, is an internationally renowned university for policymaking and good governance. It trains leaders for politics, business, and civil society through master’s programs, doctoral programs, and executive education courses. Under the guiding principle “Understand today. Shape tomorrow”, Hertie School conducts international research, teaches practice-oriented courses, and provides a forum for public debate. Six competence centers strengthen the university’s expertise in the areas of Europe, international security, fundamental rights, sustainability, digital governance, and data science. Hertie School was founded in 2004 by the Hertie Foundation and has been largely supported by it ever since.
