In the global headquarters of METRO Cash and Carry the Global Non Food team is responsible to define the international assortment which will be offered to and sold by all our country subsidiaries worldwide. For the Global NF team we are currently looking for an Expert Category Management (f/m) who is responsible for two main areas: (1) Micro Season: Micro Seasons are an essential part of our promotion approach. These are small seasons which will be offered throughout the year (eg. Back to school/work). Developing and following up such Micro Seasons with the countries is the main task of this role. As this position is relatively new, you can still take part to influence the final shape of this position and develop new Micro Seasons together with the countries. (2) Nordrhein Trading (NRT): NRT is a subsidiary of METRO handling the off-price business model. Ensuring a correct paper trail, evaluating price and new suppliers, visiting fairs and being the key contact person for the METRO countries are some of the tasks to be followed up. This position is a great opportunity to get first insights in the off-price business model. Expert Category Management (f/m) Non Food Micro Seasons & NRT limited to 18-24 months   Your tasks Contribute to achieve targets like turnover, volume, profitability of International sourcing, stock and cost to serve Analyze the categories and collect input from all countries to ensure that all relevant needs will be covered in the international assortment Collaboration with country subsidiaries about assortment definition, best practices and assortment implementation Support in the preparation and follow up of international buying team meetings and international category launch meetings (two big annual events)     Y our profile First experience in a comparable job or in category management as a working student Fluent in German and excellent English skills Project management skills are plus Experience in off price business is a plus Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress Attention to detail Target and result driven High level of creativity Enjoy working in an international environment   Are you interested in working in a professional team?
