For over a decade, STICKS & STONES has been the leading career fair for the LGBTIQ+ community and everyone who celebrates diversity. Over 100,000 people have already taken part. At this event, you’ll have the chance to look for jobs, network, learn and be inspired in a supportive and queer-friendly environment.
Once you’ve booked your STICKS & STONES ticket, you’ll automatically receive a discount link for Deutsche Bahn train tickets! The DB event tickets include a ‘City-Ticket’ for a connecting journey by public transport from the arrival station in Berlin to the venue.
You can find all information about travelling to the event on our website.
Absolutely! Straight people, allies and friends of the community are also very welcome. As well as exploring queer topics, you’ll find inspiration and tips for your career. By taking part, you’ll also be supporting the LGBTIQ+ community.
Queer-friendly means that a space, an event or a business is respectful and supportive of people from the LGBTIQ+ community. It is about visibility, acceptance and actively promoting a diverse and inclusive environment.
Only take photos on site if everyone in the picture has given their consent.
Please note that we cannot issue tickets at the door. Please register in advance for free via Eventbrite. Simply bring your digital ticket on your mobile phone.
With the free Jobseeker Ticket, you’ll become part of our talent pool. All you need to do is answer a few questions. Companies gain access to the talent pool and can contact you to invite you to an interview. This ticket is perfect for you if you’re currently looking for a job.
You can purchase the Explorer Ticket for a small fee. If you’d rather just come to SXS for inspiration and don’t want to join the talent pool, this ticket option is perfect for you.
It’s best to bring your application documents with you, either digitally or in print: your CV, a cover letter or an application flyer. There’s also no reason not to share your LinkedIn profile or other similar professional social media accounts. Some companies offer CV checks; these are highlighted separately on the site map.
As there is often confusion surrounding this issue and many people are unsure whether or not they should bring a printed copy of their CV with them: from a data protection perspective, there is absolutely no issue with exhibitors accepting a printed CV on site and reviewing it with you to provide feedback. As long as the document is not retained afterwards, there are no obligations associated with permanent data processing (privacy notices, consents, retention and deletion obligations, etc.). Ideally, you should bring both a printed and a digital version of your CV with you.
Why not take a look at our exhibitors and think about which ones are relevant to you? Visit your favourites in person, or join our Talent Pool for the chance to have a one-to-one chat with the exhibitors. Think about any questions or topics you’d like to discuss and make a note of them. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about diversity.
As a general rule, the same applies to almost all events: just pop along! Most activities operate on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination of any kind. Visitors to STICKS & STONES should feel welcome, regardless of their age, ethnic background and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and beliefs, sexual orientation and social background
We strive to create an inclusive atmosphere. We take care to manage noise levels, music and sensory overload as much as possible. Quiet hours are from 10 am to 12 noon. During this time, no music is played on site and the lights are dimmed. However, noise levels may be higher, particularly outside of these quiet hours. Free earplugs are available for you at our Awareness Team’s booth.
These sensory adjustments enable those who are sensitive to their surroundings to enjoy the exhibition in a suitable and more comfortable environment.
All-gender toilets are toilet facilities for everyone, regardless of sex or gender! All-gender toilets are equipped with both seated and standing toilets. The binary division of toilet facilities puts pressure on people to conform to one of these categories. To avoid and permanently overcome this kind of coercion and discrimination, the principle of all-gender toilets aims to create a space where there is no division based on gender identities and roles.
In addition to the all-gender toilets, there are toilets for women, intersex, non-binary and trans* people. The toilet facilities are intended both to provide a safe haven from generalised and acute sexualised violence and to raise awareness of issues relating to gender and gender identity. Furthermore, they ensure visibility for people affected by discrimination regarding socially established gender norms. In the long term, this aims to foster greater acceptance.
The accessible toilet is equipped with a changing table.
There are several bars on site serving drinks and snacks, including vegetarian and vegan options. You can pay on site via PayPal or by card.
Yes, there is a cloakroom. It costs €2 to use – you can find more details on the site map or at the venue.
