Become a volunteer
at STICKS & STONES

STICKS & STONES would not be the same without its many volunteers.

Every year, our volunteers help to make our events unique and ensure that they run smoothly. For our upcoming events, we are looking for motivated, friendly and reliable people to support us in various areas (see below).

You will support us for up to eight hours – including a one-hour break, of course. In addition to a behind-the-scenes look at our LGBTIQ+ job and career fair, you will also receive free catering, including vegan options.

Further information can be found in our FAQs.

Please fill out the form below. Once we have confirmed your assignment at STICKS & STONES, we will invite you to a joint briefing call with all volunteers. In this initial introductory meeting, you will learn everything you need to know about your shift, working hours and locations.

We look forward to seeing you!

You warmly welcome visitors near the entrance with SXS goodie bags. In doing so, you help to create a positive and cheerful atmosphere in which everyone feels comfortable. An inviting, open and friendly manner is essential for this task, as you are one of the first points of contact for guests.

You actively approach visitors and ask them to fill out a feedback form on a tablet. We will provide you with the tablet.

This feedback is important for the further development and improvement of our job and career fair. The amount of data collected depends heavily on your commitment and attitude towards this task.

This job is best suited to outgoing people who speak German and English, are open to others, and enjoy communicating. You should have good stamina and be in good physical condition, as you will be on your feet all day in various areas of STICKS & STONES.

In the position of the runner, spontaneity and flexibility are the most important requirements. You are adaptable, a quick learner, physically fit and able to easily slip into any role and provide support. You assist us with everything that comes up and step in where needed.

You will not only cover the breaks of the rest of the team, but also directly support the STICKS & STONES organisation team.

This task is interesting for anyone who would like to take a comprehensive look behind the scenes of an event and thus gain a good insight into the processes and requirements of a job and career fair.

As a dismantling assistant, you will be part of a team of hard-working, physically fit and agile employees. You will dismantle all physical elements of STICKS & STONES. Your tasks will include, for example, helping us dismantle the exhibition stands or removing signage and marketing material from the entire venue.
